A day in Qingdao - host city of 18th summit of SCO

This coming June, the annual Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit will be held here in Qingdao.

今年六月，一年一度的上合組織峰會(huì)即將在青島舉行。

Behind me is the International Sailing Center where the summit will be held this year.

在我身后的就是此次峰會(huì)的舉辦地——青島國(guó)際帆船中心。

The famous May 4th Square stands proudly across the harbor from Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center, which is currently undergoing renovations as the venue for the upcoming summit.

青島國(guó)際帆船中心目前正為迎接即將到來的峰會(huì)進(jìn)行修繕，對(duì)岸則屹立著著名的五四廣場(chǎng)。

The sailing center was originally constructed for the 2008 Olympic Games. From witnessing world-record breaking moments to hosting the 18th summit of the SCO, Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center has become the city’s landmark for important international events.

帆船中心最初是為北京2008年奧運(yùn)會(huì)而修建，它見證了無數(shù)世界新紀(jì)錄的誕生。如今作為第18次上合組織峰會(huì)的主會(huì)場(chǎng)，這里已然成為見證重大國(guó)際事件的城市地標(biāo)。

The city boasts miles of beautiful coastline, sandy bays and swimming beaches. Just off the boardwalk lie the European mansions of Badaguan. The area’s villas, gardens and long avenues make it the idyllic place to catch some shade.

青島擁有漫長(zhǎng)綿延的海岸線、沙灘和海濱游泳場(chǎng)。木棧道的旁邊坐落著八大關(guān)的歐式建筑群。這一帶的別墅、花園和街道營(yíng)造出花木繁茂、光影婆娑的田園詩般的風(fēng)光。

Qingdao is not only popular with tourists, but also for trade. One of the most well known companies based in the city is Tsingtao brewery. We stopped off at the brewery museum to find out how the beer has been made for the past 100+ years, and of course have a taste!

這里不僅旅游業(yè)繁榮，商貿(mào)也很發(fā)達(dá)。青島啤酒就是這里眾多馳名中外的企業(yè)之一。我們來到青島啤酒博物館，準(zhǔn)備探尋一下超過百年歷史的啤酒的制作工藝，當(dāng)然也少不了品嘗！

After a few beers, you definitely need something to eat. We decided on some local hand-pulled noodles that my colleague has been eating since he was a child and have even featured in local rap.

小酌幾杯之后，必須得吃點(diǎn)東西。我們決定去品嘗當(dāng)?shù)氐奶厣?，這是我的同事小時(shí)候嘗過的味道，也曾被寫進(jìn)青島話方言說唱中。
